The primary mission of the Warroad Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of the residents of the City of Warroad, the townships that we serve, and those that visit our community.  Education and Prevention programs allow us to be proactive with the residents in our area.  Please visit the NFPA website for more information on home fire safety and prevention.

Fire Department Information and Staffing

The Warroad Fire Department is a municipal, volunteer department located in Roseau County that was founded in 1904.  The Warroad Fire Department is staffed by a Fire Chief, an Assistant Fire Chief, five Captains / Lieutenants, and twenty-four fire fighters.  The Warroad Fire Department responds to calls for service from one station and has a coverage area of approximately 285 square miles.  Some services provided by the department include Fire Prevention and Education, Fire Suppression, Vehicle Rescue and Extrication, Water and Ice Rescue, Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting, and Mutual Aid Response with departments in both Roseau and Lake of the Woods counties.
